The Alijis Campus faculty of Industrial Technology and Information Technology headed to Hytec Power Incorporated, Quezon City for a five-day training last April 20-24.
They were divided into two groups according to their respective fields of expertise, and the concurrent sessions covered robotics, logic circuits, assembling hardware, and installing software for the Info Tech group, while the Industrial Tech group tackled Computer Numerical Control machine training, automation studio training, and mechatronics training, all geared towards upgrading their skills.
To keep the College up to date with the state of the art technologies that are used in the industries, faculty members are consistently sent to benchmark with the best practices and the latest tools of the trade.
As a bonus, they even got to see Nao—the humanoid robot with artificial intelligence so advanced, it even introduced itself, “I can connect to the internet through Wi-Fi. I can recognize your face, answer your questions, play music, grab objects, and even play soccer like a pro.”
