The new Research and Extension Office was blessed and inaugurated on October 24 by Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Joseph Dexter Palagtiosa, OAR.
The inauguration was graced by Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Commissioner Maria Cynthia Rose Bautista who remarked about the beauty of the Talisay campus coming as a pleasant surprise to her.
She commended the College for being competitive with renowned private schools in the area with well-developed facilities.
CHMSC President Dr. Renato Sorolla also requested his contemporary Dr. Romulo Sisno, President of Northern Negros State College of Science and Technology (NONESCOST) to say a few words of encouragement.
Both Presidents corroborated how truly challenging leading a state college is, and they agreed that “comparing notes” helped both of them along the way.
Also in attendance were top school officials, faculty and staff who came to celebrate the inauguration of the new Research and Extension Office.
